What is success, really? Is success defined by a certain amount of money, such as, one million dollars, ten million, a hundred million, a billion? Or is it defined by relationships, and how popular a person is?

If how popular a person is defines success, then is every Hollywood star a success? What about those in Hollywood who are on drugs and who are alcoholics? Are they successful?

What is success then?

It’s simple. From the Law of Attraction perspective, success is defined as how happy a person is, period. That’s it. That’s all. But of course, the easy of money flowing into a person’s life can have an impact on happiness, just as how well someone’s relationships are can have an impact.

The truth is that happiness is an inside job. It comes from within you first, and then everything on the outside will start to reflect what is on your inside.

There are many unhappy, wealthy people. And there are many popular unhappy people. The key and trick is to become happy FIRST, and not allow anything outside of yourself to bring you down.

But there are a lot of daily habits that most highly successful people do share.

1. They Meditate

Most successful people meditate in one way or another every morning. Many of them do it as soon as they get up in the morning. But meditation could be simply taking some quiet time with no distractions to quietly contemplate. Others do the more traditional form of meditation. The point is that successful people tend to take time out for themselves every day.

2. They Exercise

Successful people also exercise every day. Some of them say that it’s better to exercise every day instead of three times a week because it’s harder to develop the habit if you don’t do it every day.

Some talk about doing extreme sports too in order to hone their ability to focus. But even doing some exercise every day is really good and healthy for you. It’s best if you can do it first thing in the morning so that you get a good start in your day.

3. They Plan

Successful people plan each day, each week, each month, each year and even further out. Planning involves visualizing, which is seeing with your minds eye what you want. By planning, you focus your attention on what you DO want, instead of what you DON’T want. It’s a key strategy to be successful.

4. They Focus on the Important Stuff

Successful people focus on what is important, and either don’t do the unimportant stuff, or they delegate it out to others to do. Delegating could be hiring someone to do the work too.

To a successful person, the important stuff must align with their values and their goals. If not, then they don’t focus on it.

Most successful people know how to keep a good, work-life balance. They value their family the most, and will not allow work to interfere for the most part.

Successful people know that they can’t do everything. And they know that they aren’t good at everything. The want to focus on what they are best at and what they enjoy. So, they give up the need to control and they delegate responsibility to others so that they can focus on what they are best at doing.

7. They Say “No” a Lot

Successful people know that saying “no” is one of the best ways to become successful. They value who they are enough that they don’t feel guilty for saying no.

Basically, when we allow others to take up our valuable time with their problems, we can’t focus on our issues and lives. So, we have to learn to say no.

8. They Remember Their “Why”

Successful people let their “why” in life be their motivational factor – their inspiration. When you remind yourself of why you are doing something, you connect to your inspiration. Doing this will help you to get through any rough patches in life.

9. They Read, a Lot

Successful people read a lot. The average CEO reads about a book a week, or around 50 books a year. Of course, the books you read do matter. Self-help, personal development books are the best, but even a good fiction book can be helpful and enjoyable.

10. They Get Enough Sleep

Most successful people get about 7 hours of sleep at least. There are exceptions to this rule, but for the most part, most successful people make an effort to get enough sleep.

The other tip on this point is that they usually go to bed at the same time, and wake up at the same time, whether it be the weekday, or the weekend.

11. They Live Each Day as if It Were Their Last

You never really know how long you have on planet earth. Successful people know this. They value every day, and make the most of each one.

Successful people talk much more about what they want than what they don’t want. They intuitively know how the Law of Attraction works. In addition, quite often they speak about their accomplishments, usually without bragging, but sometimes, that’s the way it comes off.

Successful people visualize their future. They don’t live life by default. Instead, they take control of their own lives and create their lives on purpose.

It’s best to visualize in the morning right after meditation and to do it with your eyes closed. But also, you can do it any time that you have a few minutes. This is why day-dreaming is so good. When you day-dream, you can visualize what you want.
